Andy Warhol: Artistic Talent Essay Andrew Warhol born in 1928, known as Andy Warhol, was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker who was a leading figure in the visual art movement knows as pop art. At an early age, he showed an artistic talent and studied at the School of Fine Arts at Carnegie Institute of Technology. In 1949, he moved from Pennsylvania to New York City and began a career in magazine illustration and advertising.
